Introducing a Custom designed series of Flexo printers for paper and plastic converting operations
Pine Brook, NJ - Bell-Mark introduces the Custom Designed series 1230/1830 single-color flexographic printer to the Converting Industry. This unit is well-suited for paper and plastic film converters. Since many print requirements call for a narrow width print, the 4" wide flexo is ideal for company logos, product descriptions, warning messages, company logos, scannable bar codes, striping applications, recycle logos, and other variable information.
The 1230/1830 is designed for use in conjunction with extruding operations, bag making equipment, sheeters/die cutters, packaging machines and slitter/rewinders. Features of the series 1230/1830 include friction drive/direct drive, 3 frame construction design for stability and vibration free operation, a fountain designed to accept an ink pump, chrome plated engraved anilox roll for precise ink distribution, 4", 8" and 10" width, a 12" or 18" repeat and speeds up to 375 FPM.
The 1230/1830 also offers our enclosed doctor blade ink system. This system provides the highest quality print of any narrow web printer with speeds to 500 FPM. The enclosed system eliminates press speed limitation, fugitive emissions, foaming with water-based inks, slinging and cell starvation. Less evaporation of ink helps the unit maintain premium ink viscosity. By design, approximately a ½ ounce of fluid is all that is needed to fill each inch of cavity length, resulting in considerably less fluid waste during clean up compared to a typical fountain pan system.
