Bell-Mark - Press Releases - thermal transfer design software, VersaStyle

Pine Brook, NJ - Bell-Mark has introduced an updated version of it's label making software for use with the companies line of EasyPrint Thermal Transfer printers & coders. VersaStyle® 3.4 has been updated with many new features which make it even easier for the operator to interface data between the EasyPrints and personal computers.

A new feature that is found in Version 3.4, is the use of a USB hardlock to unlock the softwares usable features once registered with the company. Older versions of VersaStyle only featured a Parallel port hardlock, but with the adoption of USB as the standard communication port of newer PC's, the company now offers the ability to use either port in the latest version.

VersaStyle has also been updated with two features that provide users with cross version capability. A user now has the ability to open files that were created in earlier versions of the software, and save newly created files into older formats for use with previous versions of VersaStyle.

The company has also enhanced and improved the OLE interface which allows VersaStyle to be used in conjunction with custom "front end" programs. Like previous versions of the software, VersaStyle's database fields let a user link to any ODBC compliant database, so existing data can still be printed by an EasyPrint. VersaStyle provides easy access to the intuitive built-in features of EasyPrint...real-time dates, batch information, offset dates, incremental numbers, shift and time codes. A built-in Bar Code Wizard offers assistance when creating all traditional Bar Codes, RSS-14 codes, as well as 2D Bar Codes including PDF 417, Datamatrix, and Maxicode.

VersaStyle uses familiar Windows® word-processing capabilities for easy label creation, and supports True-Type fonts, text alignments, and text box features which will automatically scale text to fit a specific area.

VersaStyle also supports many popular graphic formats such as JPG, PCX, BMP, WMF format. You can easily size, rotate and stretch graphics, as well as draw lines and insert boxes.
