Does
Bell-Mark provide products to remove ink from metal or teflon?
Yes. Bell-Mark offers a 110 Solvent that will clean
our 855 solvent based inks from metal, teflon, as well as rubber-type. 110
Solvent can be purchased in pints, quarts, or gallons.
If you are looking for a mild alternative,
you can purchase Machine Magic for use on machines only, our part number
CL0050.
Bell-Mark's Anilox Wash is a cleaning option for cleaning all water-based
inks from anilox rolls. Anilox Wash is our part number IK2030 and available
by the case with 4 quart bottles/case.
Often ink makes contact with surfaces of the packaging machines. One customer
in particular has a vacuum packaging machine where the ink has built up on
the bars on the ceiling. Additionally, the rubber-type, purchased from Bell-Mark
and used on our Reciprocating Coders, needed to be cleaned from constant
use. Solvent or Anilox Wash will do the job.

What
is Flash Point and what does it mean to the FAA?
Flash Point is a range of temperature
at which ink or material will become flammable. The temperature
point at which the material will catch on fire is rated 4 different ways.
- The temp must be 200 degrees F must
get to catch on fire.
- It will flash above 100 but less
than 200.
- It will flash at 73 up to 100.
- Any liquid, gas or material
with a flash at 73 or less.
FAA regulations stipulate that any material with a flash point under
141 can't travel on an airplane.

alphanumeric letters and numbers kits, custom logos, individual characters
and numbers (called sorts) in a wide range of character sizes.

How
do I order rubber type from Bell-Mark?
Whether you're ordering kits, individual letters
or numbers, or logos, measurements of the character size should be determined
prior to calling Bell-Mark. Bell-Mark takes our measurements from the
top of the character to the bottom of the character, not the width and
not the dimension of the rubber piece including the character size. That
measurement would be greater than the character size and not correspond
with Bell-Mark part numbers and descriptions.

What
color would Bell-Mark recommend for printing on black film or web
material. Can Bell-Mark provide this ink in cartridge form?
Bell-Mark offers white 855 solvent based ink
for use on dark colored packaging material. However, the pigments
in white ink are heavier than dark blue and tend to separate from
the ink formula and settle to the bottom of the ink cartridges.
The recommended solution for printing on dark
colored packaging material where white is the preferred color is to
buy uninked cartridges and ink pints, quarts, or gallons. This may incur a hazardous charge
and more costly for shipping into Canada. Bell-Mark customers
however are willing to incur this charge to satisfy their application.

Divide this number by the size of the impression and consider the mm
gap in between each print.
